What happens when I set up an eGIRO mandate?

When you create an eGIRO mandate, you can transfer cash from your linked bank account seamlessly via your Endowus account. The amount you'll be able to transfer via eGIRO is determined by the eGIRO limit you set during the creation of the eGIRO mandate.

Please note that this set up does not automatically draw cash from your bank account for each investment you make. You will have to make a cash deposit into your Endowus account to fund the investment. With eGIRO, you can do this via your Endowus account; without it, you'll need to deposit cash into your Endowus account via your online banking app or PayNow.

Things to note when linking your eGIRO account

  • You may only link individual bank accounts. You will not be able to link a joint bank account or corporate bank account.
  • Take note of your payment limit. Please note that the payment limit you indicate at the creation of your eGIRO mandate will determine the maximum amount you can transfer over to your Endowus account per eGIRO transaction.
  • The limit date determines when your eGIRO payments will stop. Please set an appropriate date to ensure that your investments are not disrupted.
  • At the moment, only one-time payments can be initiated via eGIRO. For recurring deposits, kindly set up a standing instruction for the desired cadence with your bank.

*Please note that should there be a discrepancy in the identity of the account, the eGIRO setup will be on hold. You will need to provide a bank statement (dated no longer than 3 months) to validate your application. We will keep the application open for 14 days, after which the eGIRO application will be cancelled.
