Can I set up a joint account?

Before opening a joint Endowus account with us, please take note that:

1. Joint accounts are restricted to Cash investing only (no CPF, no SRS).
2. A joint account is a standalone, unique account. It cannot be linked to your existing individual Endowus account. An individual Endowus account and a joint Endowus account each have separate login details.
3. Each Endowus account must be registered with a unique email address (email alias is accepted).
4. The joint account uses a single user email address for login, and a single mobile number for OTP. Both account holders will need to share one user email address and one mobile number for receiving OTP.
5. A joint Endowus account is a joint-alternate account. Both main and secondary account holders have equal access and control to the joint account. You can decide who is the main account holder and who is the secondary account holder based on your preferences. In the event that one account holder passes away, the other account holder will have full access to and control of the joint account.
6. In the event of both account holders' deaths, your executor or administrator shall be the only person recognised by us. Please refer here for more information. 

Please refer to the account opening processes below and follow the process that matches your circumstances.

Process (1): Both account holders are new to Endowus and do not have an existing Endowus account

Process (2): Both account holders have existing Endowus accounts

Process (3): One account holder has an existing individual Endowus account

Once we receive the required information, we will be able to set up your joint account.

Process (1): Both account holders are new to Endowus and do not have an existing Endowus account

Once Steps 1-4 are completed, please send the following information to support@endowus.com:

1. Names of both account holders
2. User email address of the joint account
3. User email address of Account Holder 2’s account application
4. Does the secondary account holder want to open an individual Endowus account?
5. Signed copy of the Joint Account Authorisation Letter (download from this link)

*Please note that if you do not indicate "Joint Account" in the First Name section, then your account application may be automatically processed as an individual account application.

Process (2): Both account holders have existing Endowus accounts

Once Steps 1-3 are completed, please send the following information to support@endowus.com:

• Names of main account holder and secondary account holder
• User email address of the joint account
• User email address of Account Holder’s 2 existing individual Endowus account
• Signed copy of the Joint Account Authorisation Letter (download from this link)

*Please note that if you do not indicate "Joint Account" in the First Name section, then your account application may be automatically processed as an individual account application.

Process (3): One account holder has an existing individual Endowus account

Once Steps 1-3 are completed, please send the following information to support@endowus.com:

• Names of main account holder and secondary account holder
• User email address of the joint account
• User email address of the account holder’s existing individual Endowus account
• Signed copy of the Joint Account Authorisation Letter (download from this link)

What is an email alias?

An email alias is a forwarding address. All emails addressed to the alias are forwarded to a specified account.

For example, your user email address for your individual Endowus account "abc@gmail.com". You can sign up for a joint Endowus account with an email alias "abc+endowus@gmail.com". Our system will recognise "abc+endowus@gmail.com" as a unique user email address and all the email notifications will be sent to your inbox at "abc@gmail.com".
