Yes, you may open a joint account!
- Scenario 1: Both clients have existing Endowus accounts
- Scenario 2: One client has an existing Endowus account, but not the other
-
Scenario 3: Both clients do not have existing Endowus accounts
Here are some things to take note of:
- Joint accounts are restricted to Cash investing only (no CPF, no SRS).
- A joint account is a standalone, unique account. It cannot be linked to your existing individual Endowus account. An individual Endowus account and a joint Endowus account each have separate login details.
- Each Endowus account must be registered with a unique email address (email alias is accepted).
- For login, the joint account uses a single user email address, while multiple mobile numbers can receive OTPs. However, only one designated mobile number can receive OTPs to authorise transactions.
- A joint Endowus account is a joint-alternate account. Both account holders have equal access to and control of the account. You can decide on the primary account holder and secondary account holder based on your preferences. In the event that one account holder passes away, the other account holder maintains full access to and control of the joint account.
- The minimum age for an Endowus account holder is 18. We are unable to open an account for individuals below the age of 18.
- In the event of both account holders' deaths, your executor or administrator shall be the only person recognised by us. Please refer here for more information.
How to open a Joint Account
Firstly, please decide on the Primary Account Holder (PAH) and Secondary Account Holder (SAH).

- The PAH will need to create a new Endowus account using a new user email address here, and ensure that you select “Joint account”.
- Please complete and upload the Joint Alternate Account Authorisation letter.
- Once you've completed the joint account application process, you're all set. We'll reach out to you if anything else is required.
- No action is needed from the SAH.

If both account holders wish to have individual accounts, in addition to the joint account
Once the SAH has created a new individual Endowus account, the clients can create a joint account using a different user email (see Scenario 1).
- To open the joint account, please complete and upload the Joint Alternate Account Authorisation letter.
- Once you have completed the application process, you're all set. We'll reach out to you if anything else is required.

What is an email alias?
An email alias is a forwarding address. All emails addressed to the alias are forwarded to a specified account.
For example, your user email address for your individual Endowus account abc@gmail.com. You can sign up for a joint Endowus account with the email alias abc+endowus@gmail.com. Our system will recognise abc+endowus@gmail.com as a unique user email address, and all the email notifications will be sent to your inbox at abc@gmail.com.
