Who holds my ETFs, and in whose name are they held?
Same as your unit trust investments, your ETFs are held in a custody account with UOB Kay Hian, our appointed brokerage and custodian. Your holdings are held on a segregated basis and recorded against your Endowus account, so your beneficial ownership is maintained at all times.
What happens to my ETF investments if Endowus or UOB Kay Hian ceases operations?
Client assets are held separately from Endowus' own assets and from UOB Kay Hian's own assets, and are therefore ring-fenced from creditors in the event that either firm ceases operations. You can refer to this page for more information.
Are my ETF holdings lent out to third parties?
Endowus does not lend out client ETF holdings to any other parties. We do not offer lending and/or leverage services on our platform.
Do I have voting rights on the ETFs I hold?
Because your ETFs are held through our custodian on a nominee basis, voting rights are not passed through to individual clients.
